The IP Press is pleased to announce the launch of its Certificate Course on Legal Drafting (22nd February 2026 to 08th March 2026). This course is designed to provide participants with a strong practical foundation in contract drafting and negotiation. In today’s professional environment, the ability to draft clear, precise and commercially effective agreements is an essential legal skill.
The course goes beyond theoretical learning and offers hands-on exposure to the drafting and negotiation of legal and commercial documents, enabling participants to understand how contracts operate in real-world professional settings.
Course Objectives
Through this programme, participants will:
- Learn to draft clear, precise and commercially practical contracts and related documents
- Develop strong negotiation skills to effectively articulate and protect client interests
- Acquire the ability to analyse entertainment-industry agreements, identify risks and evaluate contractual structures
- Gain practical insights into contract-based litigation
- Learn to adapt and modify contract templates for different commercial scenarios
Course Structure
The course will be conducted in a 100% online format and will comprise 10 live sessions (20 hours) held over weekends.

- Introduction to Contract Law, the Indian Contract Act, breach, remedies and negotiation
- Types of Entertainment Industry Contracts, including IP, service, music, distribution, promotional and AI-related clauses
- Drafting of Legal Documents

About the Instructor
The course will be conducted by Akanksha Badika, Media and Entertainment Lawyer and Legal Manager at Bhansali Productions and Bhansali Music. She has extensive experience in drafting commercial agreements and handling legal issues across the film and music industries, including her work on Gangubai Kathiawadi, Heeramandi (Netflix) and the music album Sukoon.
Eligibility
The course is open to students, graduates, post-graduates, scholars and professionals from any field.

Assesment and Certification
Participants will be required to complete negotiation and drafting assignments and submit a 1000-word blog related to the course. A minimum of 50% marks must be secured to receive the certificate.
